Solar Tours 2014
The Netherlands has a strong knowledge and technology position regarding photovoltaic and thermic solar-power. The use of solar-power within our country has soared in recent years. The government wants to further increase the scale of development and application of solar-power in the Netherlands and to maximize the added value for the Dutch economy. Education, research institutions and corporations combined aim at the development of efficient, inexpensive and durable panels, including the machines and materials necessary for building these. On top of that, they work together with provinces, town councils, city planners and designers/architects in an attempt to integrate systems in (durably) built areas, infrastructure and the power grid. Throughout the years, practical experience has been gathered during a number of projects.
Solar Tours 2014 are pre-eminently travelling conferences, made for and by corporate life, where you, together with likeminded people, can come up with new ideas, exchange knowledge, share enthusiasm and view new, on-going projects! This is where every tour revolves around. Solar Tours provide you with ample opportunity to enjoy fascinating bus lectures, including video presentations. Looking at how projects have been run or are running and being used at this very moment. This year, that and more is what you can expect of the fourth edition of the Solar Tours.
Through project visits, bus lectures and exchange of knowledge you receive information on all current trends and technological innovations in a concentrated fashion. So join the tour and enjoy.
The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (governmental agency for entrepreneurial Holland) RVO.nl is organizing the five Solar Tours this year in intensive cooperation with SEAC, Solar Energy Application Centre. Within the five selected regions we went looking for instructive and remarkable uses of solar-power. Based on the combined offer, we are calculating the distinctive routes and preparing the project visits and bus lectures.
Solar Tours in 2013 great success!
Last year, five tours were also held, finishing with the awarding ceremony of the Solar Tours Trophy.
Important questions, clear answers
The most important questions answerable by Solar Tours:
- Where do you retrieve what knowledge? What is on sale and for which situation?
- Would you choose traditional applications? Or do you want to be the first with the most innovative solution? Who is able to teach you?
- How do you organize a solar-energy project: legally, organizationally, technically, financially and communicatively?
- How is a project run in practice? How does it look like in real life?
- In what way is solar-power in (in)visibly beautiful ways used in architecture?
See you on tour!
